Doug las County-based Dish Network will begin offering high-definition programming in 1080p, the highest TV resolution available.
The move is an aggressive one for the nation’s second- largest satellite-TV provider, as it is the first company to offer HD signals in a pure, uncompressed format. The move comes in conjunction with the company’s rollout of “TurboHD,” a suite of all-high-def programming packages.
Dish Network is also rolling out 17 new HD channels.
