A 59-year-old Thornton woman has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder after allegedly shooting a man in the head in her home this afternoon, Thornton police said.
Police were called the Bellaire Way home of Mary Elaine Bradford at about 2 p.m. today on a report of burglary in progress.
They found an unidentified dead man in the upstairs hallway. He had been shot in the head. The man has not yet been positively identified.
Bradford was in an upstairs bedroom.
