Denver firefighters doused a condominium fire early this morning, and one resident was taken to a local hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

The fire started at about 5:14 a.m. at 1050 S. Monaco Parkway, said Alex Paez, a Denver Fire Department spokesman.

Flames were visible when firefighters arrived on the scene, Paez said.

Sixty firefighters and 15 fire trucks were on hand to battle the blaze. Four units were heavily damaged.

Details on the injuries to the resident were not available. No firefighters were injured. Investigators were at the scene looking into what caused the blaze.

A dollar amount of the damage was not released.
