Although we’re promised that the record-breaking heat streak will end this week, we couldn’t help but ask entrants to the Denver Post $25 Haiku Contest to contemplate the outdoor temperatures. All of the entries were blazing hot, but we thought the verse by Tracy Wohlgenant of Denver just smoked the competition:
My car is a kiln
I use oven mitts to steer
Arriving red-faced.
