Greg Smith, a 6-foot-6 guard/forward at Omaha’s Ralston High School, orally committed to sign an early basketball letter of intent with Colorado State. His high school coach, Bill Heard, said Wednesday that Smith averaged 18 points a game last year and has drawn increased attention on the summer AAU circuit.
Heard said Creighton also offered, and Smith received calls from USC and Michigan. The coach said CSU also offered a scholarship to Smith’s younger brother Dwight, a 6-4 guard going into his junior year.
