
Friday-Saturday. You won’t believe your eyes at the 27th annual Snowmagical Family Fun Fest in Snowmass this weekend. Starting this afternoon, clowns, magicians, puppeteers and street performers of all stripes will wander the Village Mall dazzling visitors. The magic moments continue on Saturday and also include the “Magic Cabaret” and the Restaurant Magic Dine-Around — performers will entertain at participating restaurants while dinner is served. Expect to leave with at least a few balloon animals. And if magic’s not your thing — ahem, teenagers — check out the Snowmass G3 Gravity Bike Challenge, also going on all weekend. This afternoon and evening and all day Saturday. Restaurant Magic Dine-Around starts at 6 p.m. Saturday; Magic Cabaret starts at 9 p.m. Saturday. Most performances take place on the Snowmass Village Mall. The Magic Cabaret is at the Silvertree Hotel, 100 Elbert Lane, Snowmass; 800-837-4255. Saturday.Dacono, the little town between Denver and Loveland, has a big birthday this year. Celebrate 100 years of Dacono at the Centennial Summer Festival on Saturday. The day starts early with a pancake breakfast to benefit the American Legion. A parade, themed “Dacono, A Century of Memories, A Future of Promise” begins at 10 a.m. The festival starts in earnest at noon with live music, kids’ activities, a beer garden and lots of local food vendors. A fireworks display at 9 p.m. ends the revelry with a bang. 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. Centennial Field, west of Clem Dufour Park on Glen Creighton Drive, Dacono. Admission is free.
Tonight-Sunday. Can’t get enough of the Titanic? Get a good fix when Augustana Arts presents the musical “Titanic” at the Lakewood Cultural Center. The familiar, tragic story is set to lush music, featuring a full orchestra and more than 40 actors. The original 1997 Broadway production — unrelated to the hit movie — won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. 7:30 tonight, 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. Tonight-Sunday. There’s something a little off about Hyronomous A. Frog. He’s huge, and yet he hates flies. Gloria the Good Witch lets him in on a secret: He’s a prince, and he needs a fair maiden’s kiss to return to human form. Follow the frog’s comedic quest in the Northglenn Youth Theatre production of “The Frog Prince of Spamalot,” 7 p.m. tonight and Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. D.L. Saturday. The Highlands Ranch Concert Band invites kids and families to join in for a cool summer evening at the park on Saturday. It’s the band’s annual Children’s Concert, and it’s tailored to curious — and dance-happy — little ones. Get up close and ask the musicians about their instruments, boogie to kid-friendly music and maybe even direct the band. 7 p.m. Saturday.
