Carmelo Anthony will miss the first two games but won’t miss a game at the Pepsi Center.
The Nuggets’ schedule was announced Wednesday, and the team opens the regular season Oct. 29 at Utah. After another road game at the Clippers on Oct. 31, Denver and Anthony, who was suspended by the NBA for two games after his DUI arrest in April, will play their first home game Nov. 1 against the Western Conference champion Los Angeles Lakers.
Four of the Nuggets’ first nine games will be on national TV, including Nov. 14 at Boston. The NBA champions’ only game in Denver is Feb. 23.
The Nuggets’ biggest road trip is an eight-game stretch from Feb. 4 to Feb. 22, sandwiched around the All-Star Game on Feb. 15 in Phoenix.
The longest homestand in Denver is a seven-game stretch Jan. 3-17. Other big home games include Cleveland on Dec. 19 and the new Oklahoma City team coming in for the first time March 11.
The Nuggets are scheduled to be on national television 16 times (nine on ESPN and seven on TNT). All other games will be on the Altitude network.
