LITTLETON, Colo.—The Douglas County Coroner says three young people killed in a house fire died of smoke inhalation, burns, and carbon monoxide poisoning.

The three died early Sunday when a fire burned the house they were in during a party. They were Amber Jeffers, 18, Joey Shedron, 23, and Jeremy McCarroll, 20. The coroner says they were on the second floor and that their bodies were found in different locations.

Toxicology results are pending.

Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the blaze, which also left a fourth person with burns on 70 percent of his body.
