GOLDEN, Colo.—A former teacher’s aide at a Lakewood elementary school is being ordered to serve three years of intensive supervised probation for sex offenders after pleading guilty to Internet luring of a child.

Thirty-one-year-old Frank Pierce of Golden learned his sentence Friday in a Jefferson County courtroom.

Pierce had entered his plea in May. He will also be required to register as a sex offender.

Pierce was accused of using sexually explicit language online and trying to arrange a meeting with someone he thought was an underage teen. That person was actually an undercover investigator.

Pierce was arrested in November.

He was a teacher’s aide at Stober Elementary School in Lakewood, and a girls’ basketball coach in a youth recreation league.
