AURORA, Colo.—Aurora police say two people have died after a crash early Monday morning.
Police say a Ford F450 pickup crashed into a steel pole. The driver died at the scene and the passenger died later at a hospital.
Authorities say the pickup was reported to have been involved in a minor hit and run accident outside a bar before the crash.
After that, a police officer saw the truck speeding with its lights off. The truck crashed before the officer could catch up with it.
Investigators are waiting for the outcome of toxicology tests to determine if alcohol was a factor.
