WASHINGTON — Former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner, who is campaigning for a Senate seat this year, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at this year’s Democratic National Convention.

An e-mail written by Mike Henry, an adviser to presumed Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, revealed that Warner would be given the plum speaking role on Aug. 26, the second night of the convention in Denver.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Obama’s rival during the Democratic presidential primaries, also is scheduled to speak that night.
