DENVER—Democratic National Convention officials plan a breakfast with Martin Luther King III on the 45th anniversary of the “I Have a Dream” speech and the day Barack Obama accepts the Democratic nomination to run for president.

The Democratic National Convention Committee also said Thursday the breakfast will feature the Rev. Al Sharpton. The time and place of the event have not been released.

Democratic National Chairman Howard Dean says the faith and civil rights leaders at the breakfast will join to commemorate the historic day that “created a tipping point for change” in the country.

Obama will deliver his acceptance speech Aug. 28 at Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium.
