BEIJING — Deena Kastor suffered a broken right foot while running the women’s marathon here Sunday. The former Alamosa resident and bronze medalist in the 2004 Games dropped out after pulling up at the 5 km mark when she felt a “pop” in her right foot.
Kastor’s manager, Ray Flynn, said X-rays taken later showed she suffered a broken foot.
