A year after overhauling their roster, the Minnesota Timberwolves unveiled Monday a new look to go with their new team. The home uniforms pay homage to the first jerseys the team wore, with “Wolves” on the front instead of “Timberwolves.” And for the first time in franchise history, the road uniforms will have “Minnesota” scripted across the front instead of “Wolves” or “Timberwolves.” Spokesman Ted Johnson says the project became more important when Kevin Garnett was traded to Boston. “It really is a new era, and it looks like it, too,” Johnson said.
