Re: “Politics seasons couple’s China ‘food map’ book,” Aug. 6

There was a photo on the front page of the section of Jenny and her mother. The women are from Kaili, Guizhou, in China. Imagine my surprise when my mother showed me that article and I realized that Jenny is a former student of mine (or at least I am 99 percent sure she is).

I was in the Peace Corps and lived in Kaili, Guizhou, from 2002-2003. I often went to students’ homes for authentic Miao food.

Do you know of any way to contact Jenny and her mother? I would like to let them know that they were in my hometown paper and I saw their picture. Thank you.

Megan Deas, Denver

This is what we love about our jobs! We forwarded Megan’s e-mail to Naomi Duguid and Jeffrey Alford, authors of “Beyond the Great Wall,” and they are going to put her in touch with Jenny in China.

Re: “Beer Drinker’s Guide to Colorado,” Aug. 13

The web site for the Beer Drinker’s Guide to Colorado, has a web address that’s too long for our newspaper column width. To find it, you’ll need to type in a very long one-word URL: .

No dashes or line breaks. Just one long word.
