PUEBLO, Colo.—Two Powerball tickets sold in Colorado matched the first five numbers Saturday to win the game’s second prize of $200,000 each.
The Colorado Lottery says the tickets were sold at a King Soopers on Littleton Blvd. in Littleton, and at a 7-Eleven at U.S. Highway 40 and County Road 129 in Steamboat Springs.
Saturday’s winning numbers were 5, 34, 40, 43 and 52. The Powerball was 20 and the multiplier was 5.
The two Colorado tickets were among five sold in the U.S. to hit the first five numbers. Two other tickets with the Power Play option also matched five numbers to win $1 million.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
The game is now played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
