A Denver man has pleaded not guilty to allegations that he and his girlfriend plundered more than 375 pieces of mail including gift cards, cash, wine and a box of homemade cookies.

Michael Pantera, 27, pled not guilty today to stealing mail that included gift cards, cash, wine and a box of homemade cookies.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Pantera and Sophie Shafer, 19, of Bailey in January in the 27000 block of Richmond Hill Road.

The stolen mail was recovered at the scene, authorities said. The previous week, more than 140 mailboxes had been targeted in the same area, and a large amount of mail was recovered.

Shafer’s arraignment has been continued to Sept. 2.

Pantera’s trial in Jefferson County court is set for Jan. 13.
