CASTLE PINES NORTH, Colo.—The Douglas County Sheriff’s office says two children who were reported missing were found dead in a parked car.

The sheriff’s office is releasing few details about the deaths and have not identified the children, saying only they are under 13.

Neighbors have said the children found dead Wednesday afternoon were a 5-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy.

The sheriff’s office says deputies responded the neighborhood in Castle Pines North on a report of missing children.

Sheriff spokeswoman Cocha Heyden says the car wasn’t running and the windows were up but there was no signs of forced entry.
