The Scenic Royal Gorge Route Dinner Train is hosting a four- course dinner in its dining and vista-dome cars accompanied by musicians of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. Sheepdog trials.
The Meeker Classic Sheepdog Trials are Sept. 3-7 in Meeker, with 120 top international dog/handler teams vying for a $20,000 purse. There will also be crafts, food booths, spinning, saddlemaking demos, the American Humane Association’s Rescue Rig, barbecues, Scottish country dancers, music and more. Wine and music.
The eighth annual Lake City Wine and Music Festival will begin at 10 a.m. Sept. 20 at the Lake City town park. The music lineup features Chuck Pyle, Albert and Gage, Carrie Rodriguez, Sisters Morales and Alejandro Escovedo. Tickets for music, wine and a hand-painted wine glass are $75. Music- only ticket is $50. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Purchase tickets online or at the gate. This is a rain-or-shine event.
