COLORADO SPRINGS — Thieves made off with 400 gallons of gasoline from a fleet of trucks set to deliver tents for the Democratic National Convention.

After drivers of Distinctive Truck Rentals ran out of gasoline while making deliveries Friday morning, they asked a manager to check the gas tanks of other trucks. He discovered that the tanks had been emptied.

Security cameras recorded a white Ford flat-bed truck with barrels on the bed being driven in the area of the company, said Arapahoe County Sheriff spokesman Grayson Robinson.
