Airspace restrictions ordered by the Federal Aviation Administration during the Democratic National Convention could mean more aircraft flying over cities around Denver.

Aircraft are banned from flying within 35 miles of DNC activities today through Thursday, and flight patterns have been rerouted over other area cities, including Aurora.

Denver International Airport, Centennial Airport and Buckley Air Force Base all navigate planes over Aurora on a regular basis. With the FAA restrictions in place, more of their flights may use alternate routes over Aurora.
