NEW YORK — “American Idol” is adding a fourth critic to its panel of judges. Grammy nominated songwriter Kara DioGuardi, left, will sit alongside Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson when the eighth season premieres in January, the Fox network said.
Meanwhile, ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” named the 13 celebrities slated to compete on the new season of the dance contest, premiering Sept. 22. They include Susan Lucci, Toni Braxton, Lance Bass, Kim Kardashian, Warren Sapp and two Olympic athletes: Misty May-Treanor and Maurice Greene. The Associated Press
