DENVER—Democratic Party officials say there could be a long wait to get into Barack Obama’s acceptance speech on Thursday night because everyone will have to walk through a metal detector or be screened by a hand-held detector.
About 75,000 people are expected to hear Obama’s speech at Invesco Field at Mile High, the Denver Broncos’ football stadium.
Gates open at 1 p.m. but the starting time for the night’s program has not been announced.
