Mailing a package in Cherry Creek won’t get harder when the current post office closes next month.
The U.S. Postal Service has worked out a leasing arrangement to relocate the Cherry Creek Station Post Office to 201 Columbine St., right next door to the current location.
Officials reached an agreement with Charmar LLC of San Francisco for a one-year lease, with additional renewal options for two more years at the discretion of the Postal Service.
In April, the Postal Service was informed by the landlord that its current site was being sold and that it had to vacate the site by Sept. 30.
