LONDON — Securities law firm Milberg LLP, whose former partners pleaded guilty to illegally paying kickbacks to clients, was sued by London-based insurers seeking to void professional-liability insurance because of the conduct.
At the time covered by the contracts, the firm and four partners “were engaged by their later admissions in a criminal enterprise in their law practice,” certain Lloyd’s underwriters and a Zurich Financial Services AG unit said in a complaint filed Tuesday in federal court in New York.
