A lightning-sparked fire burned a hole in the roof of a house in Aurora last night.

Aurora firefighters got the call about 4:45 p.m. and went to the unoccupied house at 5086 South Shenandoah Way, the department said in a news release today.

There was smoke in the house, and heavy fire in the attic, which firefighters were able to put out.

No injuries were reported, and the fire department estimated damages at $75,000.
