He’s just 18 years old, but Joey Logano will drive a prime car next season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Logano on Monday was hired to drive the No. 20 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, replacing two-time champ Tony Stewart, who will move to Stewart-Haas Racing next season.

The car, sponsored by The Home Depot, will continue to be chiefed by Greg “Zippy” Zipadelli, Stewart’s current crew head, who will remain with the team.

“We lean heavily on Zippy, and Zippy from Day One has felt Joey had the talent,” Gibbs said this week. “I think Joey, for an 18-year-old, has got tons of experience.”
