Colorado School of Mines Foundation received a $1.2 million gift from the Chevron Corp. The gift brings the company’s total contributions to the school to more than $8 million. Mines will create the Chevron Education Center for Study of the Earth with $1 million of the gift. The center will be housed in Marquez Hall, a petroleum engineering building that will be constructed.
