CHICAGO — A day after a computer system that distributes flight plans nationwide came rolling to a halt because of a software glitch, most flights across the country were back to normal Wednesday.
The National Airspace Data Interchange Network computer south of Atlanta developed problems during routine software work. The system, which is about 20 years old, was already scheduled to be replaced later this year, officials said.
