Ugly couch contest. The ready-made furniture manufacturer Sure Fit Inc. has launched its 2008 Ugly Couch Contest, a search for the ugliest couch in America. Photo entries for the contest will be accepted until Sept. 30 at . Entrants will have a chance to win a $5,000 living-room makeover courtesy of Sure Fit Inc. The makeover will be overseen by HGTV designer and show host Kim Myles.
