CLOVIS, N.M. — Curry County authorities say they’re getting many new leads in their search for five inmates, including a convicted murderer, who were at large Thursday after a jail break earlier this week.
The inmates were among a group of eight prisoners who escaped Sunday night after a hole was cut in the roof of the county jail.
“We still have teams following up leads. We’re still getting quite a few tips in,” Curry County Undersheriff Wesley Waller said.
Waller said authorities are searching throughout New Mexico and West Texas but that the search was not limited to those regions.
