One might think a man on the threshold of the U.S. presidency would not want to alienate his constituency. But, then again, Barack Obama isn’t always politically correct. At least not when it comes to his favorite baseball team in his home state. Stuart Scott of ESPN asked Obama if he would root for the White Sox or the Cubs if both made it to the World Series. “That’s easy. The White Sox,” he said. “You go to Wrigley Field, you have a beer, beautiful people up there. People aren’t watching the game. It’s not serious. White Sox, that’s baseball.” Los Angeles Times
