DENVER—What a difference a few hours makes.

In the nearly 12 hours after Barack Obama accepted the Democratic nomination for president, crews have dismantled the stage where he delivered his acceptance speech to some 86,000 people at Invesco Field at Mile High.

Workers began tearing down the elaborate set, podium and folding chairs that were set up on the field about an hour after Obama’s speech ended around 9 p.m. Thursday.

The clean up includes pulling up flooring placed on the field to protect the turf, removing lights, and pulling cables. Some of the work continued as local and network morning television shows broadcast from the venue early Friday.

The University of Colorado and Colorado State University are set to face-off at the stadium Sunday evening.
