Olympic gold medalist Nastia Liukin was greeted by thousands of cheering fans at a welcome-home parade in Parker, Texas, on Saturday. Organizers said a few days ago they had to turn away some would-be participants because there wasn’t enough space in the line. Mayor Joe Cordina said the Dallas suburb’s first parade went “incredibly smooth.” The event included U.S. marshals on horseback, an antique fire engine and flatbed trucks filled with local scout troops.
