ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—The Denver Broncos waived 17 players Saturday and placed RB Anthony Alridge (left foot) and FB Cecil Sapp (left thigh) on reserve/injured. TE Brett Pierce (left ankle) was moved to the waived/injured list and WR Brandon Marshall was put on the suspended list. The Broncos will have to cut another player when Marshall returns to the active roster on Sept. 9.
