CAÑON CITY — Canon City police have arrested three people in the shooting death of a man who was pulled from the Arkansas River in July.
Police say that among the people arrested in the investigation of 37-year-old James Durgan is his estranged wife, Kristin Durgan, who had reported him missing. Also arrested Thursday were 29-year-old Brian Nicholas Folsom and 22-year-old Andrew Tanner.
All face charges of first-degree murder. Cañon City police Chief Dan Shull says more arrests are expected.
James Durgan’s body was found by kayakers. The coroner said he had been shot.
