Getting your player ready...

Once Aspen Kayak Academy owner Charlie MacArthur teamed up with Oahu-based stand-up paddleboard manufacturers C4 Waterman, it was only a matter of time before a river- specific board made its way to the market. The C-MAC ATB River Board (as in Charlie Mac’s All Terrain Board) is a 10-foot, 6-inch epoxy vessel expected to take river surfing to the next level when it hits distribution in October. Wider, thicker and with three times the rocker of C4’s traditional SUP ocean-surfing models, the stable C-MAC has a flexible tri-fin setup and removable soft foot braces similar to those used for wind surfing. But don’t be misled — this is a precision river-surfing machine that needs nothing more than water and a paddle to operate. MacArthur has actually learned to roll it like a kayak. With a flat-water weight certification up to 280 pounds, SUP surfers of almost any size are sure to get on board with the C-MAC.
