The NCAA announced Tuesday that the University of Colorado will host the 2010 men’s and women’s skiing championships at Steamboat Springs.
Steamboat Springs has served as the venue for the NCAA skiing championships five times: 1968, 1969, 1979, 1993 and 1996.
“The (NCAA skiing committee) is excited to return to Steamboat Springs for the 2010 championships,” committee chairman Drew Galbraith said in an NCAA news release. “The hospitality and enthusiasm for this event in the local community … will provide an outstanding environment for the student-athletes.”
