Lakewood police are circulating surveillance images in the hope that they will lead to the identification of a suspect in a 2-week-old robbery.

Police say that about 1:30 p.m. Aug. 18, a man used a ratchet wrench to break the glass in a display case at the Cash America pawnshop at 1565 Wadsworth Blvd. The man then grabbed three handguns and ran outside.

An employee chased the robber, who dropped the guns and got away.

The suspect is white and about 25 to 35 years old. At the time of the robbery, he wore a dark-colored shirt, dark ball cap, blue jeans and white sneakers.

He may have cut himself when he broke the display case.

Anyone with information is asked to call detective Michelle Current at 303-987-7239.
