A 13-year-old girl was hit by a Cadillac in front of Ken Caryl Middle School near Littleton this morning.
The girl, Danielle K. Barker, sustained serious injuries. She was hit in a designated crosswalk, according to the State Patrol.
Danielle was rushed by ambulance to Littleton Hospital then transported by helicopter to The Childrens Hospital in Aurora.
The Cadillac’s driver, 24-year-old Dustin Wert of Littleton, has not been charged in the incident, which is still under investigation, according to troopers.
No evidence indicates alcohol or drugs were factors, the State Patrol noted.
