Ben DeLine’s two field goals in the final 89 seconds against Sacramento State, including the 20-yard winner as time expired, earned the Colorado State freshman kicker Mountain West Conference special-teams player of the week honors.
DeLine, who was kicking for Steamboat Springs High School last year, is only the fifth CSU player to win an MWC weekly honor in the past three seasons. He was 3-for-3 in the 23-20 victory over Sacramento State and made his lone attempt against Colorado.
The Rams resume their season at home against Houston on Sept. 20. Houston hosts Air Force on Saturday.

MWC salutes AFA safety.
It’s appropriate that a player from the defense-dominated Air Force-Wyoming game in Laramie would be singled out for MWC defensive player of the week honors.
Air Force strong safety Chris Thomas earned the award with 13 tackles, a quarterback sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the Falcons’ 23-3 victory.
