BLACK HAWK — A custodian in the Gilpin School District has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old at the child’s home.
Frederick Allan Griechen, 49, was arrested by the Central City Police Department on Friday. The arrest was announced by prosecutors Monday. The small school district includes an elementary school and a high school on the same campus on Colorado 119 in Black Hawk.
The assault is alleged to have happened in the early morning hours Friday. Griechen is acquainted with the child’s parents, according to the district attorney’s office.
Griechen is in the Gilpin County Jail without bond.
