PORTLAND, Ore. — The Federal Trade Commission said Monday that its hearing on Whole Foods Market Inc.’s acquisition of Boulder-based rival Wild Oats will begin Feb. 16.
The deal, which the FTC originally objected to on antitrust grounds, was finalized last year. But the FTC’s objections were revived in July when a federal appeals court found a lower court judge erred when he declined to issue a preliminary injunction in the deal.
