Getting your player ready...

ALAMEDA, Calif. — With a heavy heart, Broncos running back Andre Hall has decided to play in the season opener tonight against the Oakland Raiders.

Hall learned a couple hours before game time that his mom had passed away.

Hall knew his mother was ill and in a Florida hospital, but her passing came as a shock. After talking it over with several members of the Broncos’ coaching staff, front office and teammates in his hotel room today, Hall decided to play.

He is expected to share carries with Broncos’ starting tailback Selvin Young.
