Microsoft keeps upgrading its Zune digital music player even as Apple’s iPod dominates the market. Monday, in advance of an Apple event today, Microsoft released a host of new features for the Zune, which has about 4 percent of the market, compared with 71 percent for Apple’s iPod, according to NPD Group: Zune’s 16- and 120-gigabyte models will enable users to download music wirelessly and buy songs heard on the built-in FM radio.

Apple is expected today to introduce a revamped iPod Nano and maybe a slimmer, cheaper iPod Touch, Shaw Wu of American Technology Research said in a note Monday.
