DES MOINES, Iowa—The Powerball jackpot will grow to an estimated $118 million for Saturday since no one matched all six of the numbers in the midweek drawing, the Multi-State Lottery Association said.
The winning numbers Wednesday were 14, 15, 28, 37 and 53. The Powerball was 18 and the Power Play number was 2.
Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $105 million jackpot.
A Power Play ticket sold in Connecticut matched the first five numbers only to win $400,000.
The top prize in Colorado was $200 each for 54 Power Play tickets that matched other number combinations, Colorado Lottery officials said.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
The game is now played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
