A drive-by shooting early this morning in southwest Denver left one man dead and authorities with no suspects, according to a Denver Police Department spokeswoman.
Around 2:15 a.m., two men were walking near 3440 West Dakota Ave. when a car drove by. The men exchanged words with a person or people in the car before the vehicle drove away, according to spokeswoman Det. Sharon Hahn.
The car circled back and shot at the two men, hitting one who later died at Denver Health of his injuries, she said. The second man was uninjured, according to Hahn.
The identity of the victim is being withheld until his family is notified.
