“Right now I wouldn’t say you’ve seen the last of Lance Armstrong in any event. I think he really enjoyed Leadville. His focus is going to be the Tour, but if he’s still motivated after that, I don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t go back to Leadville. He had a great time, he loved the town, loves the people. He’s also kind of a loyal guy, and that’s part of what inspired him to get back. I wouldn’t be surprised if he races Leadville ’09.”

– Chris Carmichael, Armstrong’s long- time trainer, on the prospect of the seven-time Tour de France winner returning for more mountain bike racing in Colorado. Armstrong’s team won a race Sunday in Aspen.
