Lend Lease Communities is teaming up with the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden to develop a framework for delivering entirely renewable-energy communities.
NREL and Lend Lease will convene a panel of local experts to define what it means to be a zero-net energy community and examine how the concept can be incorporated into mixed-use developments.
Lend Lease is developing two sustainable mixed-use communities in Colorado: Horizon Uptown, a 503-acre proj ect in Aurora at Interstate 70 and E-470; and Lowry Range, a partnership with the Colorado State Land Board to create a sustainable community on 3,870 acres east of E-470 and south of East Quincy Avenue in Arapahoe County.
