BOULDER, Colo.—Olympic steeplechase runner Jennifer Barringer of Boulder will be the grand marshal of the University of Colorado homecoming parade next month.
The 22-year-old Barringer finished ninth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in Beijing Summer Games. She is a student at CU.
The university says other current and former Olympic athletes from CU and Boulder are expected to participate in the Oct. 3 parade.
Colorado plays Texas on Oct. 4.
